Kisan Card Scheme is a government scheme that aims to offer agricultural and financial aid to farmers in Pakistan. The scheme is still growing in 2025 with a view of enhancing crop productivity, lowering the cost of farming and providing direct financial relief to registered farmers. The card serves as an electronic identity and financial access device, linking farmers with subsidies, loans, and agricultural services.

Objective of the Kisan Card Scheme

The scheme focuses on improving the overall welfare of farmers by:

    • Ensuring easy access to government subsidies
    • Reducing dependence on middlemen and informal lenders
    • Providing interest-free or low-interest farming loans
    • Supporting farmers with modern agricultural resources

It is a move towards the digitization of agricultural assistance and the establishment of transparency in the provision of subsidies.

Key Benefits of the Kisan Card in 2025

Farmers registered under the Kisan Card Scheme can receive:

    1. Fertilizer and seed subsidies
    2. Interest-free or low-interest agricultural loans from partner banks
    3. Access to modern farming machinery on subsidized rates
    4. Crop insurance and risk protection against natural disasters
    5. Direct cash support during emergency conditions such as floods or droughts
    6. Subsidies on:
      • Tractors
      • Drip irrigation systems
      • Solar-powered water pumps

These advantages contribute to lowering the cost of production and enhance the yielding of crops.
