Bondholders across the country have a new date to watch out for. The Central Directorate of National Savings has scheduled the next round of prize bond draws for August 17, 2026, covering both the Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 100 denominations.
The two draws won’t be held at the same venue. The Rs. 1,500 bond draw is set for the National Savings Centre in Faisalabad, whereas the Rs. 100 bond draw will take place separately at the National Savings Centre in Multan. As with previous cycles, the official list of winning numbers will only be released once both draws have concluded.
For those holding a Rs. 1,500 bond, the numbers look like this: one bondholder walks away with Rs. 3 million as the top prize. That’s followed by three second-place winners, each collecting Rs. 1 million, and a much wider pool of 1,696 third-prize winners who will receive Rs. 18,500 apiece.
The Rs. 100 bond draw works on a smaller scale but follows the same three-tier structure. The first prize stands at Rs. 700,000, three runners-up will get Rs. 200,000 each, and 1,199 bondholders will pick up Rs. 1,000 as third prize.
These aren’t one-off draws, CDNS conducts them every quarter as part of its standard schedule, and each round tends to attract heavy participation from bond investors nationwide, given how widely these bonds are held as a savings instrument.
Checking whether you’ve won won’t require standing in line anywhere. The National Savings official website allows bondholders to look up results by simply selecting the bond denomination and the draw date, or by downloading the complete result list once it’s uploaded.
One detail worth noting for anyone planning to buy bonds ahead of the draw: only bonds that were purchased at least 60 days before August 17 will actually be eligible this round. Buying a bond a week before the draw won’t count.
Winners should also factor in tax before counting their prize money. Withholding tax applies to all prize bond winnings, active tax filers pay 15 percent, while non-filers face a higher 30 percent deduction, in line with current tax rules.
Full results for both the Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 100 Prize Bond draws are expected to be made public on August 17, once the draw proceedings at both centres are complete.
